Oya
N'Soro: Oya Speaks! is a
publication begun by Iya Ifalola Omobola, then known as Soyini Gonzalez, as a newsletter entitled Oya's Marketplace,
in 1994. It transformed into a journal entitled Os'ogbe Soro which then became an online publication - Oya N'Soro. Originally intended to bridge the gap between the various sects of Orisha understanding, it evolved to exploring the understandings of Orisha themselves and has now expanded to
other African spiritual thoughts as well.
Having become a project of the Ile, Imole Agbo
Iwosan, which is located in Pembroke Township, Illinois under the
guidance of Iya Ifalola Omobola and her husband, Baba Ifalola Asante
Nalls, Iya Ifalola stepped into the publisher's role for
Oya N'Soro and turned over the editorial reins to
the more than ample hands of the illustrious Olorisha Aboyade Bomani
and her effervescent husband, Olorisha Ogunkeye Bomani.
