While researching the qualities of chia seeds
today, I came across the following quote from William Anderson,
writing for Living and Raw Foods. Com:
...the last twenty five years, there has been
a resurrection in the definition of medicine, a resurrection
that amplifies the significance of our eating habits and our
lifestyle. Medicine is not only defined as a treatment for
illness and disease, it is now understood to be for the
prevention of illness and disease. That would mean, for example,
laughter is a medicine because research found it to boost the
immune system. Exercise is good medicine for its cardio-vascular
stimulation, muscle toning, flexibility, and expelling toxins
and for giving you a feeling of well-being, all immune boosters.
To express a positive attitude towards life is not only good
medicine for you, it is good medicine for those in contact with
you. But the most important medicine, especially for the
prevention of illness and disease, is our diet. It only needs
our cooperation in supplying proper hydration and the needed
nutrients to effectively maintain a state of well-being.
Fourteen hundred American’s are dying of cancer every day. In
the prestigious Advances in Cancer Research, they concluded,
Research has revealed that more than two thirds of all deaths in
the United States are diet related. More than 50% of all deaths
are caused from coronary occlusion, blockage of the blood flow
to the heart and/or the brain. These are all preventable deaths.
CANCER & HEART DISEASE are
preventable by diet ... according to the WESTERN MEDICAL
ESTABLISHMENT ... I am going to let that stand as is.
Nuff Said!
BUT ON THAT NOTE...
Our primary essence is spiritual; the primary
essence of ALL THINGS is spiritual. That is to say...our core,
our beginning, our seed, is spiritual NOT physical. There is no
difference between spiritual matter & physical matter. It is all
the same, with the same root, the same properties, the same
causes & effects. Our body is an outgrowth of our
spiritual essence, the essence grows the body much like a peach
tree grows from a peach seed...the seed grows the tree.
If you plant something in an area of low
light, the plant itself reaches for the light, it will grow
towards the light. Something planted in an area of low
moisture reaches for moisture with it roots. We as humans
begin our lives reaching for those elements which will sustain
our growth from our spiritual seed...EVERY baby born roots for
its mothers breast...EVERY baby...we are genetically predisposed
to do so, the spiritual seed from which we sprout programs us in
this way.
If it appears that the breast is not
available the body will survive on what food it is offered by
continuously repairing cells that are damaged by less than
perfect foods ... this repair is what we have been taught to
identify as sickness, as illness, as disease ... it is actually
the BODY - our spiritual vessel, working very consciously to
correct itself ... in this analogy, it explains why breastfed
babies are not sick as often as babies who eat other things.
Their little bodies are not constantly struggling to correct
damage done by improper feeding.
Once we are old enough, we have the choice of
putting things into or upon this spirit derived body that are
designed to enhance and improve our physical journey or those
things designed to begin the process of ending this journey.
Our body is naturally going to fight anything that tries to end
the journey early, because we have a destiny to fulfill in this
lifetime and this body is the product of your spirit choosing to
fulfill this destiny - it does not give up easily. Again the
fight between this body and those elements which seek to destroy
it, we have been taught to see as disease, as illness, as
sickness.
Our choice is and has always been do we stay
& fulfill this destiny or do we not.
In the tradition of the Anago (Yoruba) people, when baby is born
we beseech it to stay on this plane through Esentaiye (name
ceremony) because we KNOW that spirit has a CHOICE and every day
you have that same choice. Are you assisting your body in
staying on this plane and fulfilling your destiny? Or are
you assisting it in the process of leaving this plane as quickly
as possible?
Are you helping your body to repair and renew
itself? Or are you continuously damaging your cells,
thereby giving it more work to do which you experience as
disease which gets progressively worse until your body decides
that you must not want to continue physical life and therefore
stops,
Life is ALWAYS a choice, would you like to
continue to live or are you ready to stop? That is the question
you are answering with each bite you take, with each click of
the remote, as you begin conversations, as you pop your earplugs
in.
The question is always life or death? And the
choice is always yours as it always has been.
I am not suggesting that death is bad, or
that it is to be avoided...I am saying that we should clear when
we are hastening towards it and we should stop and ask ourselves
why we choose to do so...
In the tradition of the Anago (Yoruba) people
we pray to reach an age so old that all of our hair is
completely white and that death will feel to us like lying
against a cool pot of water in a hot courtyard. That is
not a description of an untimely death or of death by a
debilitating disease. That is a leaving of the physical
plane after fulfillment of our destiny here.

book uncovers the Ancient Ancestral methods of living the
fullest life possible! Included are Yoruba prayers with
translations and phonetic pronunciation, explanations of Yoruba
scriptures (Odu), historical information on Yoruba spirituality
during the Maafa (slavery), and the daily ancestral processes
used to make one's Highest Self manifest.
Written by an Oshun priestess of over 15 years who was trained
in the U.S., the Caribbean and Nigeria,West Afrika, the book is
a MUST READ for anyone who is interested in Traditional Afrikan
Religion, Eastern mysticism, paganism or self-help practices.
